Notes: In August 1918 Rockwell Kent and his 9-year-old son settled into a primitive cabin on Fox Island near Seward, Alaska. This journal chronicling their 7-month odyssey describes what Kent called "an adventure of the spirit." 243 pgs., illustrated with woodcuts, maroon flexible cloth boards are very lightly soiled, tan and black pictorial DJ is chipped soiled and has small closed and opened tears, internally clean with sound binding. Signed and inscribed to his godson.

A trimming error by the printer left the title page and preface extended past the cover on the bottom right, and as a result those pages and the cover are creased there. Errata are taped to the inside front cover. Pages are clean and solidly bound.
